BARMM YOUTH LAUNCHED A SERIES OF ISSUE-BASED COMMUNITY CONSULTATIONS

In pursuit of developing data-driven, context-fit, and youth-led policy recommendations to the regional government, the 191-organization network of youth leaders in BARMM organized by the UVPN through the YouthLed PH Project of The Asia Foundation and USAID launched a series of community consultations this week. The youth leaders captured the narratives from directly-affected stakeholders of various issues identified in last year’s Local Youth Assemblies. Using their policy research skills developed with the help of experts from the BARMM Parliament’s Policy Research and Legal Services, data captured will be transformed into policy recommendations and will be presented to the Members of the Parliament in the succeeding months.
This serves as the first set consultations in a lot more in store for the youth, creating a thriving democratic environment for the continuously developing Bangsamoro Region.
