UVPN ‘exceeded targets’ and ‘influenced institutions’ in its implementation of Activate Bangsamoro 2 Project

The Asia Foundation convened their implementing partners for the Activate Bangsamoro 2 project, including UVPN, in a project close-out meeting meeting in Davao City last Feb. 23-24, 2023. The project aims to strengthen the knowledge of the voting-age population in BARMM about the new Parliamentary System of Governance. Other implementing partners from Keamanan, LENTE, MindaNews, MOSEP, PMFI, TLWOI, and UNYPAD attended the activity.

UVPN Executive Director Jelfaad J. Salik reports that the UVPN implementation of its part has exceeded its targets and has successfully influenced the internal operations and priorities of its partner institutions. The UVPN counterpart in the project involves community muhadara sessions, school-to-school parliamentary outreach, and online/on-air tele-radio discussions on about the BARMM Parlimentary System of Governance.
UVPN expresses it gratitude to the project team, its partner institutions such as the Bangsamoro Youth Commission and the Bangsamoro Darul Ifta, as well as Student Governments of Cotabato State University, Mindanao State University (Marawi, Maguindanao, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi), and University of Southern Mindanao.
